Inexplicably woke up at 4 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep.
Went for a morning walk before the sun came up.
Climbed in the bed of a stranger's truck in a Publix parking lot, and spent five minutes hanging out with said stranger's yellow lab.
Successfully convinced the stranger that I was not a weirdo for climbing into his truck while secretly wondering if, in fact, I am.
Upon my return from the store, explained to my dog, Whittaker, that I was not cheating on him despite his obvious irritation that I'd been petting a stranger's dog. He is pouting.
Opened the mail to find my cousin, Blake, mailed me a mess of ramps, dug during a fishing trip the previous weekend that I was sad to miss.
Finished writing one chapter, started on the next one.
Took one of those online quizzes that test useless knowledge: "Can You Correctly Identify all 50 States' License Plates?" As it turns out, I can, in fact, identify all 50 states' license plates. I'm not sure whether to be proud or mortified.
That's it. 11 a.m. and I'm calling it a day.
